# Cookies Policy

#### Keeping things simple and your information safe.

Just like on the field, clarity helps everything move smoother. These policies outline how we operate so you can feel confident using our site, registering for events, or joining our programs.

## Introduction

Effective Date: October 14, 2025
Last Updated: October 14, 2025

This Cookies Policy explains how Buku Events ("we," "our," or "us") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website[buku.events](https://buku.events/?hsLang=en) and related services. This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

By using our website, you consent to the use of cookies in accordance with this Cookies Policy. If you do not agree to our use of cookies, you should change your browser settings accordingly or stop using our website.

### What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to website owners.

Cookies typically contain:

- The name of the website that placed the cookie
- A unique identifier
- An expiration date
- Information about your visit

Cookies can be "persistent" (remaining on your device until deleted or expired) or "session" (deleted when you close your browser).

### Types of Cookies We Use

We use the following categories of cookies on our website:

#### 1. Strictly Necessary Cookies

Purpose: These cookies are essential for the website to function properly. They enable core functionality such as security, network management, and accessibility.

Examples:

- Session authentication cookies
- User input cookies for forms and registration
- Security cookies to prevent fraudulent activity
- Load balancing cookies to distribute traffic

Duration: These cookies are typically session cookies that expire when you close your browser, though some may persist longer for security purposes.

Can you disable them? No. These cookies are essential for the website to function. You cannot opt out of strictly necessary cookies without affecting website functionality.

#### 2. Performance and Analytics Cookies

Purpose: These cookies collect information about how visitors use our website, such as which pages are visited most often, how long visitors stay on pages, and any error messages encountered. This information helps us improve website performance and user experience.

Examples:

- Google Analytics cookies (\_ga, \_gid, \_gat)
- Page load time measurement
- Traffic source tracking
- User journey and navigation patterns
- Error tracking and diagnostics

Information Collected:

- Pages visited and time spent on pages
- How you arrived at our website (referral source)
- Browser type and device information
- General geographic location (city/country level)
- Click patterns and scrolling behavior

Duration: Most analytics cookies persist for 1-2 years, though some session cookies expire when you close your browser.

Can you disable them? Yes. You can opt out of analytics cookies through our cookie consent banner or your browser settings. Disabling these cookies will not affect website functionality but will limit our ability to improve the user experience.

Examples:

- Language preference cookies
- User interface customization
- Video player preferences
- Social media sharing preferences
- Form auto-fill information

Information Collected:

- User preferences and settings
- Previously entered information
- Customization choices

Duration: These cookies typically persist for several months to remember your preferences across visits.

Can you disable them? Yes. However, disabling functionality cookies may affect your experience and limit available features. For example, you may need to re-enter preferences on each visit.

#### 4. Targeting and Advertising Cookies

Purpose: These cookies are used to deliver advertisements that are relevant to you and your interests. They also help us measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns.

Examples:
